I have noticed an abundance lately of agate accessories!  These really take me back to my childhood growing up in Tucson, AZ when my family would take trips to museums and I would always be mesmerized by the little gems in the gift shops.  The different shapes, colors, and shimmers really caught my attention, “isn’t Nature amazing?” my mom always say.

Needless to say, I am really excited that these geological rocks have emerged from the Science classrooms into our homes!  Not only do they add some color, but can be functional as well!  Take a look…

It’s that time again, the 2014 Pantone Color of the Year… while Emerald was the 2013 color, Radiant Orchid is 2014!  I knew purple would be the one!!

“…Radiant Orchid reaches across the color wheel to intrigue the eye and spark the imagination,” stated Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute. “An invitation to innovation, Radiant Orchid encourages expanded creativity and originality, which is increasingly valued in today’s society. An enchanting harmony of fuchsia, purple and pink undertones, Radiant Orchid inspires confidence and emanates great joy, love and health. It is a captivating purple, one that draws you in with its beguiling charm.”

How would you incorporate Radiant Orchid into your home?

Everybody needs a little sun, right?  (Okay, okay, I know I was just in AZ last month, but it was a cool 45 degrees there!  Who would have thought that a climate where the temp reached over 105 on average could be so cool?!)  So Taylor and I planned a trip to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico and we leave Wednesday!  I cannot wait!

The accent table above looks more red than it truely is, I promise!

This library below is amazing.  Very creative way to layer the artwork in front of the bookcase.

And this pink chair frame is adorable!  I found it here: http://www.fabulouskblog.com/2011/04/decorating-my-place-pink-chair.html

If my boyfriend would let me have a hot pink painted console I would be the happiest woman on Earth!  Okay, maybe that was a little dramatic, but it would be cute.

Of course I love other colors too, but how striking are these?  Especially with the royal blue!

If you need help creating these looks or tackling any other project feel free to contact me!

Brilliant colors like Ruby, Amethyst, Citrine, and Sapphire to make your room sparkle, how could you not fall in love?  Jewel tones are one of my favorite color palettes to work, they are so rich and inviting, and maybe even a little risky.
